Hey everyone,
Since everyone started shipping clams again, we got almost 100 at work this week. I took this japanese maxima home. I am usually a bigger fan of the blue ones, but this one just had some sweet coloration. Just a few hours after being in the tank. Still coming out of its shell (pun intended :P ).

NICE!!!!!!

Nope, clam :) They utilize light like corals do, however.

Sweet find, Fishie. Makes me miss my old crocea that croaked from a Perkinsus contaminated baby maxima. Be on the lookout just in case.

Sorry to hear about that. THat's always the worse.
SUcks though about croceas. They are now illegal to export unless they are over 4 inches. A little big for my tank. ANd it means getting and ultra would be expensive as all hell. Even for someone who works at a LFS. :P THey change all the time though. Maybe they will again.
