Hello Everyone, This is my first time posting to the site. I am very new into aquaria. Just purchased a 350 Acrylic tank and will be in the process of setting it up in the next couple of months. Not sure if it will be fresh or salt setup. I know it may be a large size to start out with but everything I have read says most people start out with a smaller tank and wish they had gone bigger. Guess I won't have to worry about that, Huh. If anyone has any info they think will help me in setting up this tank feel free to give me your opinions. Thanks

Hello..............:welcome:

Welcome to AC!

Hello and Welcome to the AC...

hello and welcome!

i suggest first and foremost figureing out a budget.. how much can/will you spend on getting the things you need. depending on what came with your tank and what fish you want, you may need extra supplies, different lighting, more filtration, etc. setting a budget now will help make sure you don't have a big problem in the future.. although.. i went overbudget more times than i can count for my fish.. and i dont regret it at all!

secondly, look around at your local fish stores (LFS) and see what you like there, and what you don't like. you can also look at www.liveaquaria.com remember that some fish are harder to work with than others, and some aren't compatible with others.. but if you can get a list of the ones you like and what your budget is, we can help you through picking out what will work together and what wont.. and trust me, these guys know how to do a tank right!

also, look through the photo gallery area.. see if you see something you like in there for a little inspiration.
