hi everyone up untill now I have been an all freswater guy but since ive been working in a fish store I really am starting to enjoy saltwater fish much more.
this would be my first saltwater tank so I was thinking of the JBJ Pictope 3 gallon aquarium kit. What do u think of that? To small? I could maybe afford a 6 gallon biocube but I kinda doubt it. What would u guys suggest and what are some good fish/corals to put in either one

Your joking right? My water jugs are 5 gallons and I wouldn't think of keeping anything is something that small. I didn't know they made a nano that was only 3 gallons.. I thought tanks that small were sold as FW Betta tanks. lol.

you can keep one tiny goby.. please check here:

I would think you would want to stick to corals/inverts though..

the problem i see from your post is that you can't afford a 6 gallon but you can afford a 3 gallon? the price of the tank itself is negligible compared to the costs of equipment that really isn't tank-size specific. Also, there are always going to be hidden costs.. I have probably spent twice as much as I originally budgeted for on my 12g.

A reef tank is not a cheap thing.. maybe you should forget the corals at least?

So you think a 6 gallon biocube would be better? Or is there a different tank that would be better

Ok well if I were to get a 20 how much would it cost to get the rest of the stuff for it not including livestock

If you are seriously worried about the price of the tank you really out to rethink the whole SW idea. I now have over $13,500 invested into my 29G reef tank.. and no end in sight.
