sounds ok except the fish choice, your better off getting the gourami, one large school of tetras of the same species, and a few bronze cory, i dont think the rainbow shark will apreciate the cories in its territory let alone school with it....

1-2 gourami
10 lemon tetras
4-6 corydoras

Any comments from anyone? It may be pushing the limit a bit but with good filtration and frequent water changes, why not go over the limit a bit.

it already schools with my cory. they've been like this for about 3 months.

Depends on the kind of swords, 3 might get to be too many. I'd go with a group of only 1 or 2 kinds of crypts. musho's fish plan looks better for the same reason, less cluttered. I too think your cory is living dangerously. I've never kept paradise fish but hear they can be mean. I think thats why they call them gouramis now-- to soften their reputations.

yeah. that too. 4 feet is a much better size for them & deeper would make them less likely to jump. 5+ inches of torpedo shaped fish need room for speed.

You should maybe betting a co2 system. It is worth the money.

he/she is, those hagen CO2 ones (i think there just a DIY one with a diffuser)

Also your filtration specilizes on amphibians and reptile tank, not fish tanks, although it would probably work you should go with one that specilizes with fish. Petsmart has a sale on the RENA filstar series filters. Maybe get an XP2 or XP3 if you like canisters, you could also get a HOT magnum if you want to save some money but still want to go with canister filter.

Yea the CO2 system is a DIY one. I found a low-light plant package on freshwateraquariumplants.com. Does this sound like an ok package? My paradise gourami hasn't been agressive towards any other fish. I had two flame dwarf gouramis and he ignored them(the two dwarves eventually tore each other apart in the end while I was at school.) All in all thanks for the suggestions.
