Oh no..
Things are not looking good. Day 5 of my new tank, and there is algae all over my wisteria and it looks yellow, with only the new crown being nice and green. My hairgrass are all starting to look messy with quite a bit of yellow blades. My front glass has a very thin coat of green algae, u cant tell it is green until u scrape the front. The only good thing happening is the glossostigma, which are growing very quickly, sometimes even pearling.
Strange how tropica rates the glosso as a difficult plant to grow, but it is doing best in a tank of "easy plants". The wisteria ought to be the easiest, but its just looking quite sick.
Just today, I added KNO3 in very small amts, added some flourish tabs, and brought my KH up to 4 with baking soda. My ph is now 7 instead of 5.5. I also added 2 Otos (the only fishes in there ) .
I added a water lily, and a cabomba to hopefully compete for nutrients.
 I only switch on the lights for 12 hrs (48watts 10k over 10g) when I'm sleeping as the airconditioning would be on then to keep the tank temperature below 26 deg throughout the day. I've heard bad things abt algae and high temperatures.
