I've been absent from this forum for years because I stopped keeping fish but I'm getting back into it and to start my mom said she would like a pond in her back yard and I went fully into it. The pond is 4 feet wide and about 17 feet long in a boomerang shape with three tiers. The deepest it gets is 3.5ft and its 1 foot at its shallowest. I'm using a little giant pump (can get you model tomorrow) with a Pondmax pressure filter and Pondmax lights. I lined the sides with Oklahoma flagstone and the bottom and edges are covered in river rocks. I'm almost completely done but I still need to hide the hose going to the waterfall and finish the edges and viewing area. I've added a water lily, 2 Amazon swords, and other bog plants I got from a local pond retailer. Attached are pics so you can give me advice or point out things I may be able to do better. The pond does have a thick underlayment and rubber liner. I used Pondmax waterfall foam and GE silicone to make the rocks stay in place. I did use a dechlorinator and bacteria I purchased from LFS. I added 4 gold fish, 1 koi, and 2 albino frogs. This has been a ton of work and I hope I didn't do anything horribly wrong. The only thing I'm a bit concerned about is creating a solution for overflow when it rains since I don't live here and my parents will be responsible for taking care of the pond. I don't want something horrible happening if they have a huge rain storm and aren't home to drain some water in advance or during.
