Depends on the time of day for me. Early morning is best here, or when it is really sunny in late afternoon. If the pump is offf the surface will be calm and helps w/pics.

The trouble I have is reflection from the sky. Even on a cloudy day, the glare is bad. Maybe if I put up a black umbrella or something....

Still cycling, rain may have washed some nutrients in, little to no cover in the form of lillies or floaters will cause green water.
