New Pygmy corys

I got some pygmy corys tonight. I always wanted pygmy corys and we finally got some in at work today. They were only 99 cents so with my employee discount they turned out to be only about 79 cents. So I got 4, I only had enough money with me for 4 of them. Is four cory cats ok? I know they like to be in groups. I have them in my 10 gallon with my betta Charlie. I'll keep an eye on them if Charlie starts bothering them I'll move them to my 30 gallon. Charlie was fine with the otto cats I use to have in the tank so I'm hoping he'll be ok with the cory cats.

pygmaeus seem to be the shyest of all the dwarf cories, when i had four i never saw them in my ten, now that i have 14, and along with ten hastus and a few habrosus they still seem to be the least outgoing of the three, get more if you can they dont add much bioload to the tank. check out my signature petrified forest

I just put them in my 10 gallon tank a little while ago and they are swimming all over the tank. I'll see how them do with it just being the 4 of them. If they act shy then I'll get more. I was going to get 6 but I only had enough money for the 4 for right now.

Pygmy cories are great little fish. I have a group of five and I like them a lot. I saw video that one guy had of about 20 of them in a 20 gallon species tank--very cool.

if all you have is the betta in there now, i would even get as many as 8 or 10, they are really neat and much nicer to see in a school

Nice price!! I wish I worked at a fish store. I would think 4 would be ok, but at that price i'd get more!! :

I may get more next time I get paid which isn't for 2 weeks. Hopefully we'll get some more in by that time.

Pygmies like lots of plant cover and open spaces for swimming, and huge groups. If I were you I'd put those four in the 30 and get a dozen more in there too

My ten gallon tank does have some live plants in it. I only have the betta in the 10 gallon. Since my 2 otto cats died a few months ago the tank seemed a bit empty. So I was hoping to keep them in the ten gallon. I'll try and get more but I'll have to wait for when I get paid next. I don't have much money after paying bills lol. I'll see if we can order more in when I have more money lol. I was surprised that they were only 99 cents, I thought that they would have been more.

theyre like 3 -4 bucks a pop at my lfs in the center of the city, so snatch them up!
