I just received a shipment of RCS from Hooked Newbie and they are awesome. If I put platies or guppies in with them, will the fish eat any future baby shrimp? The tank is pretty well planted with aquatic grasses and mosses. Can I put snails in with the RCS? Thanks for any input.

Guppies should be ok. I think if you have lots of dense spaces (with the moss) you will have a good survival rate, just don't expect the shrimp to be nearly as visible as they would be without predators. I keep them with cherry barbs, tetras, and honey gourami and it was what started all my cherry tanks. Snails are perfectly acceptable tank mates as well.

they are growing like weeds, i am excited...about 30 or so are about pea sized now, the rest are just over bb sized. They are starting to get their stripes and are quite cute. i will post some new pics in the next few days.

yes snails will be fine, and i keep a few guppies with mine no worries plenty of babies.
