New red tailed boa n im clueless! (almost)

OKAY! shedding is complete! woohoo! got an almost complete shed! the only place he seems to have a problem was kind of on his neck a patch about an inch long and mabey a quarter inch wide i pulled most of it off gently by hand n he didnt seem to mind. he n i took a walk n the sunshine after n he was n a great mood seein as how he didnt even come at my hand at all when i went to pick him up. his eyes glazed over when he started this so thats how i could tell he was ready to start shedding not to mention how agressive he was the day i noticed..lol. anyways thanks for all the info yall have been a greeeat help! ill keep ya posted on how hes doin.

You know...I remember my red tail could smell the mice/rats I brought home when I got in the door. By the time I got from the back door to the tank he was slithering around the tank. You may want to consider something other than glass when he gets older. Boas have a tendency to get in the narrow part of the tank and just press. And let me tell you that big ol' body can produce some ft/lbs of pressure. Acrylic or home made when he gets big enough.

Love to see a pic of him if you're still keeping up with the thread at all, I notice its a few months old.
