I have bought a new setup yesterday, and have noticed something on my live rock. Im new to marine and need a bit of guidence.:help:
Can anyone identify this worm like stub thing please?
Should I remove it or keep it in?
looks like its joined to the rock with a stump. Like a tree, it looks like it has a stump but it is from the side of the rock.
sorry about pics, will keep updated.
some type of sponge is my guess. It may die back if it is in direct light now, maybe not. They(sponges) prefer lower light levels to almost dark, usually grow under rocks or where there isn't too much light. Again, just guessing here.

I would say this is deff not a peanut worm...the base is what tells me this...Is it rigid? what does it feel like when you apply light pressure to it??
