It'll be interesting to see what will be the new seven wonders of the world once the outcome is up.:headbang2: This is still the first voting stage.

My votes in order:
1. Tubbataha Reef (Philippines)
2. Galapagos Island (Ecuador)
3. Chocolate Hills (Bohol, Philippines)
4. Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park (Palawan, Philippines)
5. Yosemite National Park (USA)
6. Grand Canyon (USA)
7. Mayon Volcano (Albay, Philippines)

I came from Philippines myself, Chris. I haven't even traveled outside it yet.;)

LOL..You guys aren't voting your faves. Enjoy the voting.:D

Apologies in advance but this is going to be rantish.

In the existing standings, the Grand Canyon is number 32..... :bs:

Thats like a hot dog at the ballpark without the bun. If it doesn't make the final list, burn the entire exercise to the ground.

From their website.... "Only one national nominee per country, the highest ranked on 31 December 2008, will be eligible to proceed into 2009." Without national sanction, the candidate stands far less of adoption.

Why? Is this an exercise in democratic inclusion or an objective determination of the 7 most outstanding wonders? I'm having a very hard time taking this seriously...

This is to be a lighthearted vote on something interesting, lets not turn it into a debate lest posts have to be edited.

My vote, in no particluar order: Some of these are candidates... some are (incredibly) not:

1. Krakatau Volcanic Islands (Indonesia)... the 'ultimate' volcano/remnant. Mauna Loa is bigger but less visually impressive.

2. The Grand Canyon (US)... the 'ultimate' canyon

3. Victoria Falls (Zambia/Zimbabwe)... the 'ultimate' waterfall

4. The Great Barrier Reef (Australia)... the 'ultimate' underwater feature/reef

5. Amazon River/Forest (South America)... the 'ultimate' forest/biodiversity

6. The Karakorum Range (China/Nepal/Pakistan/India... this range includes Everest, K2, Cho Oyu, etc.)... the 'ultimate' mountain(s)

7. Meteor Crater (US).. the 'ultimate' cosmic feature/impact crater on the planet
