I picked up some shells for my brevis a couple weeks ago. Last night I set them up into three piles to enourage the developement of breeding territories. I previously had them all in the middle and the compressiceps took over and would chase away the brevis. Now with three different piles, maybe each species will have some turf to claim. Also, there are four breeding caves hidden throughout the tank too. I figured the altolamps would like them better (we'll see). In any event, my tank is a 125 and it has L. brevis (Kitumba), A. compressicpes (orange fin) and L. cyprichromis (Mpimbwe).

My desire with the arrangement of the shells is for them to breed. What do you think? Thanks, Russ

Very, very nice tank setup and lovely combination of Tang species, Razzo! I wish you good luck with your breeding efforts. Maybe you can add a few more rocks on both sides for some additional caves.
