I have shellies and shells on their way here soon. They are going in a 10 gallon until I can get my hands on something better like a 29 gallon or maybe a 40 gallon long. Does anyone know if I can put Malaysian Trumpet snails in the tank to keep the sand stirred, or well the shellies rearrange often enough that it won't be necessary?

Put rinsed play sand in the tank so far, still a little cloudy, but I think it will be okay, with filter, heater, air stone. Well post pics as I add things when I can.

Anyone in the Salvisa, KY area or maybe surrounding areas have a good size long tank preferable a 40 gallon long maybe? Looking for the full setup including the stand?

Why not throw a few in there just because =]

Good, if they will stir it up enough I will just leave the MTS out.

Thanks for all the help. I will post pictures as I add more to the tank.

The shellies will definitely keep things stirred up enough (I'm shocked how much sand they can move in a day... sometimes I'll come home and entire shells are completely buried). On the other hand, I have MTS in with mine, and it's fun to watch a little shellie pick up and throw a full grown snail to the other side of the tank when they've decided that the snail needs moving.

The MTS don't munch on the eggs or keep the shellies from successfully breeding at all?

Good to know, as love at they keep it stirred up I am not worried. If they slack off though it is nice to know I can toss some MTS in there.
