New SW setup, newbie too

Those white spots were identified as feather dusters. Red & purple coralline is starting to grow on the powerhead and a lot of my dry rock is starting to grow a mixture of red/purple coralline.

Removed the Clarkii Clownfish as he hosted a $73 coral and was irritating it to the point it wouldn't come out.

Acquired a small but FAT Mandarin. The Mandarin is currently renting some space from the Watchman. Thought there would be some aggression between the two to establish their territories but they have been side by side a few different times and there has been no squabbles yet. If he doesn't eat what I toss in I will see what I can do to catch him and try feeding him in a bowl & try to train him. I've seen a fair amount of copepods in my tank..

Should mention at night I have tons of copepods on the glass when the lights are off, but I have ordered some copepod cultures to supplement what is already established. Also I have rock piles that no fish or inverts can gain access to, aka pod piles.

We will see how it goes! Such a beautiful fish...

Tried to get pics of the thousands of Copepods currently making home on my glass right now, couldn't get them to come out with my iPhone but I did get some decent pictures. Will post..

I found out from the LFS that they've had the Yellow Tang in their display tanks for AT LEAST 4 years, he's been their traveling fish going from tank to tank to clean. Pretty cool that I have him now. He's in one picture because the moment he see's anyone in the room he starts to beg, but he quits after a few minutes.

Still need to move the mushroom and the Kenya tree away from those yellow polyps. I need to find better placement for the Green Torch because it's not extended the way it was before I re-scaped the tank. The hermits get too close and irritate it, it's less than 1/2 the size in the picture when it's fully bloomed. Also the tank isn't nearly as green as the iPhone is making it out to be.

Picked up a large leather today & a large toadstool. Looks really good. Need to pick up some rubble rock so I can start building new ledges and areas to add more corals!

I added the pictures from the other day! After the new coral adjusts to the tank I'll get some pictures tomorrow! The Mandarin is picking copepods off the glass too!
