This is the new 10 gallon I bought to set up in my son's room to house my male platies and the surviving zebra danios I have. My son picked out all the decorations and gravel and then arranged everything himself. He is 12 years old. The barrel decoration is a bubbler, but I turned it off for the pics and the plants you see in there are real.

Amd here is my new betta girl that I fell in love with at PetSmart and just had to get her! The picture kinda washed out her colors a bit. She's a lot more pink bodied and iridescent in reality. Her tail is a bit darker in the pink and purple shades too. I gave her a piece of my hornwort and she really seems to like it.

I also could not resist getting this little fella. He was just too pretty not to get.

The bettas are each in 1.5g acrylic tanks. The top flares out and ended up being just about the same surface area as the 2 & 2.5g tanks they had at the store so I figured surface area > actual tank capacity.

Very nice!

Nice pics and turtle......:)

Awww, tell your son he did a great job. The tank looks nice. :D

since you have real plants in there, turning on the bubbler isn't really a good idea. but still a good job :)

I let him run the bubbler while he's in there in the day time, so only a couple hours. Not to mention the plants are on the opposite side and are only a few, very small ones =)

wow
that is how i get my 1st aquarium but i was 5yr and it a 15 gal
