I have a pair of rainbow cichlids and was wondering if I could keep them in a 30G tank? I'm pretty sure then only get 5 inches for the male and 3 inches for the female. Would that be enough room and a big enough tank for them? Thanks for your time.
in a tank that size one will take so much aggression out on the other. a 30 gallon is perfect for a piar of angels, rams, apistos, plecos, SAE, anything not aggressive pretty much. with africans you want to have about 2-3 females per male to reduce aggression
I kept a pair in a 30 gallon for a couple years they were fine and spawned quite often. I would leave the fry in there and the ones that grew out where a good treat for my big fish in my 90 gallon.
