Hi All,
I'm new to this fish stuff, so be patient with all my questions I have have (ok), I'm in the process of cycling my 55 gallon tank I received for Christmas, my question.....How and kind of a test kit do I need to check everything, I hope there not to expensive. Any help or suggestion I'm open to anything.

Thanks,

I concur. Get a master test kit. The initial cash outlay may seem like too muich but it will pay off over the long term.
You could combine the master test kit with other items and make the shipping costs less significant.

The LFS I go to will test water for free -- you might want to check that avenue too. :grinyes:

lfs often use test strips to test water as they are cheaper. however they are not as accurate. i would advise buying your own liquid test kits so you can test daily while you cycle and not have to worry about running to the store. it will save you time and (gas) money in the end :)
