and, is this a good tank?? i hope im not wasting my money:huh:
suggestions please

says 58 gallons in the topic of the ebay ad :P

If you have a look around on the site you'll work out what you need..

* live rock, 1 - 1.5 pound per gallon is whats suggested on here, so about 60 - 90 pounds..

* sand

* skimmer

* power heads (again depends what your keeping as to how much flow, take a look around)

* lights (depends what you want to keep and budget as to what lights)

* if your having a sump, a return pump to pump the water back to the tank

etc, etc

oh and patience.. :D

ive got my 6ft tank sitting waiting while i buy all the stuff (everything else seems to pop up and take my money at the moment tho) so patience is very necessary lol

What do u mean there is no overflow for a saltwater filer??
and does it matter if i get a sump tank or not? is it really nessecary? i dont think the fliter taht comes wiht the tank is one taht will return the water...
:huh:
and i dont plan on having corals.. just fish =)

Explain a little better for you...No, you dont have to have a sump tank, they are always better, but is not neccesary.If you are not keeping corals, then normally, the lighting that comes with the tank will suffice..You may just have to buy an actinic tube, T8 will do, so you can simulate dusk and dawn..

If you buy the correct ammount of live rock, there is no need for overflows or filters..The rock itself will provide you with enough mechanical filtration. Just ensure that you put in 1 - 1.5lbs of live rock per gallon...or even a mixture of 505 dead rock ( base ) and 50% cured live rock..

Starions list will give you an idea of what you need to have to get it running for salt water, minus the sump of course...

Hope that helps a little...

Weene....it would help a new saltwater person if you explain the price and list parts to them rather than just quoting $$$$..Thanks

Niko

thank you for your suggestions everybody, it realy helps :clap:
but im still curious about what did it means when there is no overflow for a saltwater filter???
