New tank owner has questions

What do you mean by NH3, NO2, NO3 are all "fine"? Are they 0? or greater than 0? For me, "fine" means NH3 and NO2 are 0ppm and NO3 is less than 20ppm.

Neons are very fragile and I don't recommend adding any more until we've solved the problem of why they're dying, otherwise you're just feeding more fish into the killing machine. I've done that, it's very frustrating and expensive.

If your tank has beed running for a while without fish in it, then it is no longer cycled.
my nitrite and my amonia are at 0 and my ph is neutral according to the colour chart..

Any evidence of how they might have died? Do they appear to have nicked/missing fins? Are the eyes missing, like they have been eaten? Is it ich? stuff like that, or are they just turning up dead? I don't know much about live plants (I just use plastic) but mabey you could try in the live plant section to see if the plats health is what is affecting your fish.
not a clue.. they just turn out dead..

bad news..

my ph is neutral and my amonia and nitrites are less than 0 etc.. everthing seems fine according to the charts... i have no idea what im doing wrong
now i lost my elephant nose on saturday, in the morning everthing was fine, and on the afternoon he was dead..
tonight same with my pleco.. no signs of sickness and then suddenly dead..
it can be disapointing when you dont know what to do..

So sorry to hear about your bad luck!

If your NH3 and NO2 are 0, and NO3 is low (<20ppm or so), and the pH and temperature are stable, it's possible something environmental is to blame.
Is there anything you can think of that may have entered the tank and poisoned the fish, such as (but not limited to):
- cigarette smoke
- hairspray
- air freshener
- glass cleaner
- soap
- incense
- toxic decorations in the tank (plastics/rubbers that have changed texture since being placed in the tank may be leaching chemicals into the water)

It could also be an illness. Have the fish lost colour, started swimming erratically, refused to eat or shown other symptoms of not feeling well?

Other than that, I couldn't tell you. The more information you can provide, the more likely it is that someone may find the answer.
