I have managed to kill off all of my fish one by one. I had a decent tank set-up and maintained it regularly. My Gold Sevrum lived about 4 years and was actually doing well with the tankmates I chose (sort of hap-hazardly). My friend is a fish enthusiast and recommended me posting on this site. I have a 37 or 39 gallon tank that is completely empty of fish. I am looking to create a tank with Lake Malawi specs and want to add fish suitable for this environment. I am going to purchase a wet dry filter to replace my magnum filter and I am looking for suggestions on how to make this transition. I realize that the fish that are typically foind in Lake Malawi conditions require lots of rocks and hidden caverns to be happy. I really like the African Peacock Cichlid and I am considering this fish. I would like more than one species of fish in the tank, but I dont want to over do it. What suggestions if any are out there? I have all the time in the world to do this the right way this time and I am not rushing into anything!
