New tank slightly tilted, help!

Whoa I didn't know having the tank at a slight tilt was bacd for it. What would happen? My water seems to come forward a bit. The tank is in the basement. There is carpet, underlay, then concrete. And it is against a wall, maybe about 3 inches out from the wall. The back of the tank is about 14 inch lower than the front. You can only see the different from the side. Its a 33gal rimless. Should I do something about this? I don't think I can move the tank.

Well if I learned correctly from the experts here, the weight of a perfectly level tank pushes straight down, on the most rigid part of the aquarium. It's designed like that. If, however there is a slight tilt, the weight of the water will push towards that direction, causing a lot of stress onto the vertical glass panes and the silicone joints.

I don't know how big the tank or how bad the tilt has to be for the tank to possibly burst, but I don't think I want to find out either. 40 gallons of water on my appartment floor would be a total (and very expensive) nightmare. :shake:

I tried leveling it but to no avail, the floor keeps sinking under the weight. It's staying like this for 3 more months until i move, I'm keeping it at 70-75% volume until then.

BTW: I was shopping at the LFS today and I noticed a lot of their rather huge tanks don't sit level either, some with twice the incline I have.
