I already posted asking for suggestions for my new 23 gallon tank....but now I have other questions to ask as well. I was thinking of stocking it with: 8 rummy-nose tetras, 1 opaline gourami, 3 balloon mollies, 5 cory cats(not sure which kind). Would that be overstocked or not meeting the needs of any of these fish? Also, are mollies brackish or freshwater fish? I have heard both...very confusing.
My next question is about the light in the hood of my tank. I know that it is an 18" flourescent bulb, but I don't know the wattage. I would say probably 15 watts as that is what my other 18" flourescent bulb is ;however, the bulb says on it "Eclipse Natural Daylight First 18" Made in Germany For Marineland", but then on the other side it just has "27." Does that mean 27 watts? The ballast is also different than the ones I have on my 10 gallon tanks which I know are 15 watts. They are the same size but the new one takes much longer to turn on and has this white plastic cylinder, positioned right next to the bulb, that lights up first. I know that's no great description, but unfortunately it's the best I can do.
Thanks once again... :bowing:
