okay, so i finished setting up my 130 gallon tank today and just stared at it for a while. just had to share with somebody
sorry i have such a cheap camera, but i think you'll get the idea, heh heh.
Heres the whole setup...
Piece of flagstone i propped up with another rock. it hangs over 3 of my 2" pvc caves...
left side of the tank with a black plastic cave from Meijers and another slab of flagstone propped against the glass... you can see my farlowella sitting on the flagstone...
view from the left, silly tinfoil barb...
here are the caves under the center piece of flagstone, you can see one of my 4-line pictus... kinda...
and not to leave the wife out, heres her 2.5 gallon...
things are still in progress for the 130. im going to put a plain black background on it and build up a little more structure on the bottom, add some floating/suctioncup plants to the top/back and hopefully find something in vine form to wrap around my caves fiber optic cable, my air tube and the heater cords.
the livestock is as follows...
2.5 Gallon:
2 female green swordtails (less than 1")
2 feamle red velvet swordtails (less than 1")
2 male feeder guppies
3 ghost shrimp
1 brown khuli loach (2-3")
1 common pleco (2")
130 Gallon:
2 tinfoil barbs
2 4-line pictus cats
1 angelicus pictus cat
1 spotted pictus cat
2 blue gouramis
1 gold gourami
2 sun cats
4 banjo cats
2 zig-zag eels
1 striped peacock eel
1 tiretrack eel
3 clown loaches
4 red finned loaches
1 common pleco
1 bumblebee catfish
1 male fancy guppy
1 female fancy guppy
1 male marigold swordtail
1 female green swordtail
1 female marigold/green swordtail mix
1 male swordtail (breed unknown, hes black/metalic gold, possibly part molly/platty?)
3 cory cats (breed unknown, theyre kinda light silver and look like somebody spilled pepper on them)
1 bala shark
2 tiger loaches
1 striped angelfish
1 farlowella
1 commet goldfish
1 ramshorn (i think thats what theyre called...?) snail that i think my tiretrack wants to eat
)
and i think thats all.
im cutting myself off here shortly, but i still want to add these:
trio of blind cave tetras
pair of small african butterflies
bristlenose pleco
would i be overstocking if i added any more fish though?
most of the fish are rather small right now, but yes, i do realize their potential, so even though it looks sparce from a glance, i dont want to go overboard.
