New Tank

Hey everyone...

My cousion just gave me a 2 gallon nano tank, with the filter (80gph) and coral lighting (13 watts)...

I have had the tank set up for 2 days with the salt water and sand.

I was wondering when I can add live rock??

Yeah, the sand and water wont start a cycle. But live rock will. I have never considered a tank so small . . . how much live rock are you thinking of getting. Anyway, I am interested in hearing more as your picoreef comes along.

make sure u check the salinity or specific gravity at least every-other day and top off accordingly.

Very small volume---------- salinity --- very important to keep stable when changing water.

hey guys...
I just got my LR, I have 5 pounds of it, however it takes alot of room in my tank.....
I was wondering if I could break off peices and stack them up, and if I could, how??

yes, for sure...you make the aqua-scaping how you like it...A few basic things to remember are to create a ledge or two, make caves, crevices...all the things the fish may need when stressed or to make their new homes...
