new tank

Here's something neat I setup because I had a day to kill, 1.5G pico tank with 5lbs of live sand and .5lb of live rock with a Koralia Nano to keep the water moving.

It's only got about 10 hermit crabs in it right now. I'm scratching my head as to what else to add to it. Maybe just some algae to handle the bio load.

It needs a 400watt MH and a Deltec skimmer don't you think? Some more flow too, I'm thinking Tunze powerheads.

I'll have to agree with Grins. Deffinately needs the 400w MH. However, have you considered maybe 3-4 Koralia 4's?

You think 55 can handle this tank? I was thinking AT LEAST a 75...

If the bio-load is kept pretty light....I personally wouldn't want to overload it with copepods or anything with just a 55.

Hey Hey Hey.. Lets not forget the return pump.. For a tank that size he needs at least an Eheim 1262 or Mag 12 pump.. And at least a 900 gph overflow..

I'm going to add some more stuff, so I'm gonna need the 75g sump and calcium reactor for the Platyrhinoidis triseriata, Chiloscyllium plagiosum, and just to make sure I don't overload it, a Elephas Maximus Sumatranus.
