I received a 20 gallon tank a few days ago. I currently have a 10 gallon that is planted. I have 20 lb. of eco-complete in the 10 gallon, what can I get to supplement this when I move to the larger tank? Also, when I first received my plants, many of them like my melon sword and crypt and another sword all melted and are just starting to come back after a couple months. What can I do to prevent this from happening again?

When you move your plants over, be very careful when uprooting them. Crypts in particular are prone to melting when their roots are torn or roughly handled. Try to gently pull them out, place them in their final place in the new tank and do not disturb them any further. You will probably see a couple leaves die, but if you do things gently enough the plant will bounce back quickly. Since the plants are already acclimated to your water there shouldn't be too much die back.
