The tank is 100cm long, 40cm wide and 50cm high( not to sure what that is in cm). I’ll have a look at them, I am looking for some new fish in a month. I quite like having lots of different varieties of fish( so keeping one of a type of fish appeals as long as they aren’t agressibe.) and I think an oddball might be quite cool, any other suggestions for fish who would work with a ph of 7.9, 24 degrees tank, highish water flow.So is that a 36” x18x18”-ish tank? If you have enough cover, a small group of peacock gudgens might be cool without adding too much load.
My betta tank is like that, it’s pretty much self sustaining aside from top offsI do a 75% change 3-4 times a year. I have a plant/fish balance that works very well for me. I mostly do those to brighten the color of the water and reduce the hardness buildup a bit. The other parameters are always at 0.
I really doubt they would fight with the rams, they’re pretty small. I think if you had distinct territories and lots of rock work and driftwood, it would be a non issue and very interesting. I’ll see if I can find a video of my gudgeon tank I used to haveThey look cool but would they fight with the rams?
This was my tank with gudgeons, it was a 20 hex with jungle Val and frogbitThey look cool but would they fight with the rams?
Here’s my 20 hex with gudgeons, I sold this a few months ago, but it worked well and i think you could something similar without the rams being an issueThey look cool but would they fight with the rams?
I don’t think one degree makes much of a difference, but I keep most of my tropical species around 83f. I don’t know if there’s really a benefit, but I’ve always had good luck at that temp so I roll with it.They look cool and will be something to consider as my stocking according to aquadvisor is only 80percent, with the addition of 20 blue emperor tetras and 10 sawbwa rasboras. I might go for sawbwas or might leave them out if I find another cool species that i definitely want to get. I’ll consider the peacock gudgeons but if not I’ll look into getting them for my next tank. The heater is currently set at 24 degrees if/when I get the emperors should I move it up to 25 or make to big of an impact on the danios?
If you can't find sawbwa, you might consider killifish - they also look very spectacular in an aquarium. They look cool and will be something to consider as my stocking according to aquadvisor is only 80percent, with the addition of 20 blue emperor tetras and 10 sawbwa rasboras.
