I just got a spectacular deal on a couple of tanks and a whole bunch of filters. here's what I've got (at least what I can figure out):
125 gallon w/stand
58(?) gallon w/stand
2 fluval 404 canister filters (grey, rectangle)
1 fluval 403 canister filter (black, round)
2 fluval 303 canister filters (black, round)
1 oceanic trickle filter model 50 w/ bioballs (?) (about the size of a 20 gallon tall tank)
about a dozen various power heads
and more plumbing parts than I have in my house.
all of this and more for $350
I was hoping to be able to use the trickle filter and the 2 404's for the 125 and 2 of the 403's in the 58, is this over kill or would this be a good way to setup for minimum maintenance?
I'm going to set up both of these as freshwater planted tanks, and figure out what kind of fish to put in once it's established. I'm thinking about discus for the big one.
any help/advise/coments are welcome, I've had a 55 gallon setup for a few years now as a community tank, but these new ones are more than I thought I would have and I want to do it right.
