new tiger barbs!

So for the longest time i have had one poor tiger barb in a spare 30 gallon tank...he was lonely and didnt seem like he used to. So last night during my amazing first time ever to petsmart i found him 4 other friends!!!! i got him 4 tiger barbs to play with and transferred him and and all of his decorations to a 10 gallon tank for them to live forever.

now he went from just kind of staring at the heater all day to actually schooling and swimming around with all the other fishies!

Nice, they would really be happy in the 30 gal, as they are very active fish.....:)

Sounds like he is happy now with his new found friends. Just a note though. I would try to get them into a bigger tank since they are extremely active fish and would absolutely appreciate more room to swim around in and chase each other.

I had a group of 8 in my 55 and they loved the large swimming area! Such a pretty fish that is highly misunderstood!!! I'm glad they are happy! A larger tank would be great, maybe a 20L or something along those lines...
 
Large schools of Tiger Barbs (20+) in large tanks is a pretty impressive sight.
 
I love my Tiger Barbs, too! Hopefully you'll find a way to get them back in that 30g at some point, as they really are a bit too large & active for a 10g. Enjoy!
