on the hood, theres 3 connectors, 2 for the lighting. and the other one without a ground outlet plug. what does that exactly do?

theres a cartridge on the right of the bio balls, i think its carbon inside. so i have to get rid of it in order to put corals, shrimp, snails?

and is there a way i can make the fan quieter or turn it off

the 3rd plug is for the moonlight LEDs, those guys stay on 24/7

the cartridge has floss on the outside to catch debri and carbon in it to clearify and buffer the water and theres no problem using it now... i actually recommend using that cartridge until it becomes dirty and then switching over to Poly Filters

(try to remove the bioballs and replacing them with live rock rubble over time)

now the fan is a glitch, when you turn both lights on the fan will make noise for the first 30 mins or so... it helps if you turn the atinics (blue) on first, wait a couple seconds and then turning the other light on (or vise versa)

congrats on the new unit

thanks for your reply. the fan is still making noise everytime the white lights are on. guess i have to leave it on and wait it out

where should i put the heater and do i need a protein skimmer? i stumbled on a biocube protein skimmer while browsing online. i would hate to waste more money on a skimmer wen i thought biocube had everything i need for saltwater. my cube is 29g btw if that makes a differnce
