hi all , i have 55g tank with 1 angel , 4 corys , 1 rainbow shark , 2 pair of swordtails , 2 pangasius and 3 plecos , and i m thinkin to overhaul and wanna give away all my fishes ( except MAYBE my angel and my corys ) and may be start a cichlid tank , what do u think ? any idea will be so welcome ...
( i can move my angel to another tank if i should n t keep angel with other cichlids )

green terror :D or some less aggressive ones that i can keep together...

:( so what do u suggest , i just love fishes to be active not stay motionless in the water and look at u ! lol

There's nothing wrong with keeping a single GT in a 55g, just because it's on it's own doesn't mean it won't be active.
A pair of firemouths with a small pleco would be nice as well.

yeah but keepin diffrent fishes s much more fun to watch :(

If you're looking to have a bigger number of fish, you could go with African cichlids. I have no experience with them, so I can't give a lot of info a particular type or number, but I think if you went with mbuna you could have somewhere around 10-15 fish in the 55. Just be careful with stocking as they are very aggressive and you need to make sure the species you get are compatible and the male to female ratio is right. You would obviously have to remove all your other fish first though, angel included. They are very colorful and active though.

now that s somethin interstin :) ... but lemme see if i can find any mbuna here :(

If you want lot's of fish/movement/with plenty of color-go ahead with mbuna/haps- just keep in mind not to mix CA/SA(Central American/South American) and AC's(African cichlids)-unless of course you don't mind aggression/water param issues. If you search around here you will find many suggestions on stocking- good luck on finding the ones you like/have access to:)
