Just wanted to say hi to everyone! We just started our new aquarium 5 days ago and its starting to cycle nicely.
Not sure what we will put in when it finishes cycling yet, but any suggestions are appreciated!

how big is your tank?
edit: lol i read your profile thing and if the 10 gallon is the one then before you add any fish you might want to tank the betta out, of rthey can be extremely agressive... other than that, you could try platies, for they are very hardy, and come in almost every color form imaginable.... you could also try some tetras, like neons, cardinals, or black skirts(they need to be in groups of 6 or more, so it might be in your best intrests to only get one species). dwarf gouramis are cool, and for the bottom of the tank you could try a few panda or peppered corys

Hi

Yeah, my betta is just helping me to cycle my tank. I'm taking readings everyday to make sure he is safe ;). Once im done cycling he is coming out and going into his own aquarium! I do like cory's for the bottom, they had some nice ones at the lfs the other day. I was thinking of 1 main fish, a shoal of something else (danios, tetras, etc.), and 1 or 2 corys for the bottom. Right now im just trying to get through this cycling...BLAH. I did a 50% water change yesterday in the 10 gallon and retested today and my NH3 is about 2ppm, so im going to change at least 50% out again today to get the numbers down so poor "fishy head" will be ok! Of course no NO3 or NO2 yet, and my pH is 7.0. Thanks for listening to my rant!!

how long the cycle?

10g
3 guppies(1 male,2 female)
3 cories
2 ghost shrimp

5g
1 betta (bob)
