New to planted tanks

What would everybody recommend for a good CO2 injector that isn't too expensive, but can be on a timer so it will not be on at night? does such a thing exist without being too expensive?

I , or course, reccomend the DIY setup that Ill be posting soon. I add a little water and sugar in the AM when I feed the fish and it runs all day. By the time the lights go off it runs out of sugar and stops automatically. Part of the setup is a high flow kick-*** filter and difuser.
Or you could buy a tank of co2, regulator, timer and ceramic difuser and get the same results.

Any plants that require no special lighting?

I'm just a beginner, never kept any water plants before. I have a tank with no extra lighting other than the light in the room itself. Are there any plants that can survive with just this? I heard Java fern can tolerate this?

Scavenger,

I have tanks full of Java Fern, throw it out by the handfulls. These tanks are fish oriented with typical single lamp flourescent tubes. I have had some stay alive with only room lighting but wouldn't say it was well.
