New to shipping with UPS!

I am about to ship out my first package with UPS.

Does anyone know why they charge $3.00 for a pickup?

Also, do you have to pay $3.00 for each package that needs to be picked up, or is it a flat rate of $3.00 for all the packages for that day.

Sorry, about all the questions.

I ended up paying more for shipping, and pickup, than what the person actually paid for the fish and shipping combined. That sucks!!

Any answers would be grateful!

Hey Brittany,

I use UPS for just about all my shipping, but I drop off to a shipping site. I don't know about the $3 pick up charge - check on line and see. I also go to the UPS web site to get an estimate of shipping charges - they have a drop down menu that lets you enter your info and situation and will give you shipping estimates for all they offer. Might help for future shipments to keep you from losing money.

I got the confirmation for the pickup, it was supposed to be picked up no later than 5, but the UPS driver has still not came, and it is 7:15 here. I am wondering if they are just running late, because of Christmas.
