New to Shrimps -- some questions

Well, I sure have learned a lesson. Sadly, my lesson was at the expense of 4 little lives. I talked to the girl at the LFS who seemed knowledgeable.....but I should have researched it myself before bringing them home.

Fortunately, the other 3 are in a tank with little tetras. They will be happy there.
 
Surprise Surprise!! Three weeks after they disappeared, I looked in the tank before lights out and there were two shrimps just sitting on a log like they'd been there all along.

I put 4 in...I did see one body so I know one died. And I saw part of a body, but that could have been the dead one dismantled -- I didn't have time at the moment to remove the dead shrimp and when I came back for it it wasn't there -- so it may have been dragged off.

So, I know there are 2 -- might even be 3. The rams have been swimming past the 2 with the same lack of interest they show the cories.

Ms Jinx said they were REALLY good at hiding -- man,oh,man is she right! I can actually be looking right AT them and they disappear.
