Hey guys just logged in for first time and makin my quick intro. Don't know who the big fish are on this site but I'm just lookin for advice and discussion on marine aquariums and reef keeping from the knowledgable. Quick intro on me and my tank:
Equipment: 30 gal saltwater tank with 25 lbs live rock, live sand, 2 powerheads, CPR 2+ Bak Pak HOT Protein Skimmer, T5 H.O. lamps, Digikits Moonlight LED, and AQ Plus Heater.
Maintenance tools/etc: JBJ C scope refractometer, Instant Ocean Hydrometer, and API marine test kit, Reefcon Pro 2.0 software.
Coral: Colt, Torch, Green button polyps, and Ricordea.
Fish: Foxface Lo, False clowfish, 2 damsels, and a 6 line wrass.
Inverts: 2 peppermint shrimp, 2 emerald crabs, and 3 red legged hermit crabs.
So I am fairly recent to the marine aquarium hobby and I love it. I work as a clinical laboratory scientist at a world reknown hospital laboratory so I have access to all sorts of gadgets and goods plus a wealth of knowledge and training in testing methods and techniques so it has come in quit handy so far. I want to create the perfect environment and chemistries for my little guys in the tank and all I need is some help and advice once in awhile. Also, a newbie to posts/blogs/threads so I'm still finding out how this site jibes!
