New to the AC

Hello, I'm new to AquariaCentral. I have a few Cichlids and am looking to find some compatable tank mates for my very large convicts / hybrids. I have a lot of looking around to do but this looks like a great place with tons of information.

This "place" is a great resource, and it's inhabitants bicker, brawl, love, and cry, but mostly we just type alot.

I learned something today, so the day is not a total waste (and it's still early) It appears that Hybrids are not the way to go. I can see that by buying "some kind of convict cichlid" was promoting improper breeding practices. Is this like puppy mill purchases? That is not what I want to to for.

new to the boards just starting a tank.. I actually found it by out driving around. Had a free sign on it!.. a 55 with filters lights and and even the stand was withit.. looks to be new from 2008.. So im going to set up a salt tank any tips on starting would be great.....
