I am new to this forum and I wanted to ask a couple of questions. I just bought some Mixed Fruit Tetras. I can't find any info on them on in the net and I was wondering how big do they get, how hard is it to breed them, and how do you tell the males and the females? I also have to Dinosaur eels in a different tank. I was told by the store they are peaceful but they are so aggresive that they killed my shark that was double their size. They also jump out of the water when they see me to try to attack me. Does anyone have any info on them too? Thanks.

First, search on white skirt tetras. Most likely, you have the dyed version of this fish--no judgement, but not a great choice. The colors are injected, the fish will fade, and are prone to ailments since this is a stressful process.

There are a number of animals called dinosaur eels. Some are peaceful, others will consume anything they can. Figure out what species you have--here's a starter: http://www.thetropicaltank.co.uk/Fishindx/polypter.htm

Thanks for the link. I have the marbled bichir. I found out after I got home with my tetras that they were injected with the dye. I also read some articals on it. I found out that people dye a lot of other types of fish too. This is so horrible. What kind of alilments should I look for in these tetras? I use coppersafe in my tank.
