New To The Saltwater

Most SW fish are upwards of $25 dollars (even common clowns around here go for $30+). RO is safer, no bad nutrients, no messed up chemistry, etc. At $0.25 per gallon, get RO and keep the fish happy. Like I said, I have a 44g tank and I spend $1.25 every 3-4 weeks in water (One five gallon jug).

I just ended up gettig an RO devise for 250 in the log run it's cheaper to get one andnif your lfs is far it's alot less of a handle. My friend refused to use RO and his tank just crashed

Yea ill just stick to RO then, I think that the LFS down here south sells RO, my tank setup comes with metal halide light. Will this support reef, or just some corals?

Corals pretty much are the reef. And yes a metal halide will do just about anything. Two things though, 1) you'll get more evaporation because metal halides get HOT, 2) check the bulb, lamps are only good for about six months and the quality and quantity of light falls off rapidly near the end of bulb life.

OTOH, you can fit what I know about halides on the head of a pin...

Depends on the wattage man.

I use a phoenix 14k 150watt in my Sunpod.. phoenix's have a nice blue tint to them which i prefer.. its all prefrence!

if you plan on getting corals in the tank no anenome, in a 20 gal thats to risky man sorry
