New to this all starting out with a 2.5 gallon betta aquarium. help is appreciated!!

That's wonderful news! :) you'll love how much more active your little girl will be in a bigger tank! (that hole myth about bettas not liking big tanks is bogus... They use every ounce of space you give them!)

lmfao @ bettas not liking big spaces rofl. Tell that to my bettas, they'd tear your tongue out lol. I couldn't dream of seeing either of my bettas in anything less than 5 gallons, and 5 would make me feel terrible and i would only stock them solo. I like bettas in 20gs

so i got her heater today, it works and im happy. took a pick of the new setup. the bamboo has its leaves out of the water, the woman at petco said that would be fine and it will grow taller eventually.

so i wednt and had my water tested today. my test kit is still in the mail. guy said my tank looked good. ammonia 0 nitrites 0 and nitrates 10. ph is 7.8. looks like my tank cycled well. should i still do daily water changes?

liquid except for the ph, watched him doing it right in front of me, wasnt at petsmart, it was at caesar's tropical fish in santarosa. the place was recommended on this site by people, best in the area it seems.

Then no, you've cycled! :) congrats! Now you can move to one 50% weekly for maintenance and to keep nitrates down. Definitely get that kit though and keep an eye on it, but your little girl is through the tough part. :)

cool im glad to hear im through the tough part, got a 10 gallon tank for 10$ at petco today, got a filter and light commin in the mail.
