Anyone who has owned these guys know they are a real PITA to catch. I had to move 5 kuhlis from their tank to the quarantine then off to their new tank (re-arranging few tanks that day). So I started to fill the quarantine tank with water from their tank using a 5/8 ID hose and it dawned on me. The kuhlis are skinny enough to fit through the hose and they can't out swim the suction. So I decided to give it a try. Put the hose behind the first kuhli and Woosh- staight through the hose and into the tank- no chasing the loach for 20 minutes! Proceed to catch the rest this way (one did manage to fold on way into the hose- quickly blew him back out). So far they seem ok for their trip through the hose- but I am not recommending this due to the last loach folding itself (don't want anyone to lose a loach this way). Also don't tell Lupin I did this - he may commune with my loaches and other bottom dwellers to overthrow me:thud:
