new zoa's/polys are..... taller now??

so I bought a rock full of poly's and they are all open and growing.

but they are "stretching"? they are a lot taller then when I brought them home.


is this normal?
does it mean they are not getting enough light?

Stretching or reaching up more than normal can mean they aren't getting as much light as they would like. What kind of light was on the tank where you got them from, and how does it compare to the lighting on your tank? Where is the coral positioned in your tank?
