Hi every one my name is Jon. I'm new to saltwater but have kept large freshwater tanks for a while now. I've recently set up a 10g tank with some clowns. What would be the best anenome for that size tank. i relize that the clowns wont necisarily take to the anenome but i woud like one anyway.

Welcome to the hobby, Jon. Unfortunately, even your clowns will quickly outgrow the confines of a 10g tank. When it comes to keeping an anemone, for the smaller species of anemones a 30g tank is the absolute minimum. A larger tank would definitely be better. Keep in mind that some species of anemones grow larger than a dinner plate.

What kind of clowns do you have? Certain anemones are more likely to be hosted by certain clowns.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like Il stick to the basics then. My clownis an Amphiprion ocellaris. BTW i do plan on upgrading. i have a 75, 55 and 25 at my house. this tank is in my dorm room. I think i might convert my 25 to salt as it already has most of the components needed. thanks again.
