Hi everyone, I've wanted to get back into the tank keeping again and have my dream of a wonderfull planted tank. I'm look for the hardware first and I think I want an ADA tank. I've seen pictures of what I want, but I can't find the top pictured in the link below anywhere. Can someone give me some guidance? It's the one with the black lighting cover. Can't find it. I think it's a 40gallon as well which is the top end of size I want.

Deffinately bigger than 40 gal. there are three metal halide 150's over that tank although he may be talking about one of the other tanks. ?

I'm talking about the smaller one with the black lid. That's what I want, but I can find the lid or top (ADA) anywhere.

cant answer your question but i want that big tank

Eclipse makes a similar version! try Pet Smart! most LFS have catalog's you can search thew and order from!

I am pretty sure all three of those tanks are acrylic! which is strong but can scratch abit easyer if useing slate/rock etc...

ADA tanks are all glass.

The black lighting hood measures 90x45x45(cm) to be used with their 45g tank, I've only seen it in there catalog.

Your best bet would be to contact the guys at either www.adgshop.com or adana-usa.com and see if they can order it for you.

Be warned though that any ADA product is extremely overpriced. According to the (old) catalog the hood costs 30,450 yen, which is about $330.

well all three of those tank are ADA rimless tank (so thay are glass people) that being said don't get an ADA tank way to expensive an when thay get bigger (i think over 30 gallons or so) thay have a limited life (maybe like 4 year then silicon can go ) span compared to how much you pay for them. if you want rimless build it youre self or look for a tank builder near you.

for the light i have no idea witch one that is, never seemn it. sorry i cant hel you there but if you can find it defantly look at some T5 fixtures for youre tank
