Newbie here, looking for a tank before I start.

agree..these are ada and glass.

btw, acrylic tanks this size would have large braces on top.. acrylic as mentioned, is lighter but as a result prone to flexing.
 
Ok, since I've pretty much shown you guys what I want. What are some options other than ADA that will give me that look?
 
The eclipse hoods look nice but the lighting is insufficient for most plant applications, you would need to retrofit it with higher intensity lights unless you're going for a low light setup. The built in filtration is nice if you want to keep hardware down to a minimum but it's basically a HOB power filter. I also do not know if it would fit an ADA tank since I don't think ADA tanks come in the standard tank dimensions.

I like ADA tanks. They are expensive but the craftsmanship is great, good edge work on the glasses and very good silicone work. If you want a rimless tank you will have to have someone custom build the tank, which isn't cheap either.

Maybe I'll stick with the ADA. I don't want anything larger than 40-45 gallons, but I do find Discus to be amazing.
