Newbie Inherited 300g+ system

I love that you are on here and asking questions. That is awesome. I Hope we can help you out! Okay...I'm off to read more of your posts now. Just had to appreciate your resourcefulness.
Thanks for your support. Honestly, I was kinda nervous cuz I know how much chain pet stores/employees are frowned upon.

Do the inverts need any special care in general? I've only dealt with the starfish and a few feather dusters that usually sell as soon as they come in (which is the point, because as far as I'm aware, we are not equipped lighting wise for such things). Are there any guides to explain lighting?

What are all these bottles of "trace elements" and various mysterious chemical additives? There's tons - we mainly stock the Kent Marine stuff. In fresh, I stay away from making chemical brews in my tanks, but I understand if some of this stuff is essential.

So far for my order I'm debating:a spotted hawkfish and 2 (?) royal grammas for 1 tank, a pygmy angel with a yellow watchman goby (do they need sand?) for tank 2, a coral banded shrimp (I can only get crappy shrimp - coral, camel, and peppermint - who wins? And he'll be ok with a yellow tang?) either a bicolor or a red lip blenny, and probably a radiata for craps and giggles by himself of course. I have frozen silversides, krill and brine shrimp for him. Are ghost shrimp as an occasional treat better for him or worse than a rosy red minnow? I know feeder fish are generally frowned upon.
Can a gaimard red wrasse go with my small niger trigger?

I don't know what I've gotten myself into. I want a raise. And a reef tank when I get everything figured out. Thanks again for all the help and I hope I'm not being too much of a pain.

if you don't mind me asking do you work for a neighborhood place or a national or state wide chain, i myself work at a small time place with 2 stores.

Were in Arkansas?
If you dont want it public knowledge, please PM me..i am through there quite often, and would love to stop in and shop around!

only 1 basslet (so the royal gramma) per tank or they'll most likely fight to the death especially in a 10g... no, the yellow watchman doesn't need sand. the shrimp would be fine with the tang. ppl like the CBS but they aren't safe with other shrimp. peppermints are good because they sometimes eat pest anemones. feather dusters and seastars do not need any special lighting.

It's a chain. A secret chain. There are some mom and pop stores around here I'd sell my soul to work for...

Firefish are very peaceful. Put them with clownfish or other small peaceful fish. They do best in groups.

You can put 4 Royal Grammas in a 10 gallon tank as long as one is larger than the rest. Lion Fish are venomous not poisonus. Make sure you don't put the Hawkfish with the Firefish.
