I have a 30 gallon long that currently has pool filter sand substrate, 1.3 wpg, and a handful of water wisteria, planted on the left and right of the tank. I am hoping to find (locally) some anacharis this weekend. If I can find it, I would like to float some but also plant some and am undecided if it would look better in the middle or move the wisteria and place the anacharis on either side.....I do not want to keep having a "do over" as seems to be my method of madness. Any suggestions as to which would look better? Taller in the middle or taller on each side? (I do not have CO2-very low tech tank) (I plan on placing a slender piece of driftwood w/ java fern in the center).........
Thanks!

Personally, I like tall on the sides, sloping down to the middle. I think it gives it more depth, but there are many people who like it the other way as well. It just depends on your personal preference. What I did when I was starting out was to look at as many pictures of planted tanks as I could and see what aspects of each one I liked and which I didn't.

If the Wisteria is well established, I'd leave it.

It's really entirely up to you on the overall look though. Convex or concave... I tend to aquascape randomly though based on where the plants look good to me.

I love to interior decorate, although my current budget limits me to only my imagination. I can envision alot but do not want to "redo" it 6 times! I will do a bit more research on planted tanks and see which I like better. Thanks for being a sounding board and offering advice. I love this place!:grinyes:

Since I lost my mom a couple years back I really have missed having some one to bounce things off of! She had great vision......Wow! That sounds heavy! LOL; whoa! Thanks again---- maybe I should go now! LMAO and good night! :hi:
