Hi, I am new to AC and to SW. I have had fresh water tanks for a while. I just put up a new 29G BioCube a couple weeks ago. Have 9 lbs of live rock. Lots of algae growing. My concern is a rapidly growing pinkish creature with a thin stalk and longish tentacles emanating from a large crack in one of the live rocks. A friend tells me it is evil. She says it will chase an anemone around the tank, and that I should kill it by stabbing it with a hot poker (heated up screwdriver). I am a bit freaked. I was hoping to start adding animals (snails, crabs and maybe a clown goby?), but I thought I would try to figure out what this thing is first. Thanks for any light you can shed. I am not sure how to get a photo onto a posting, so I'll try to figure that out. Any suggestions for online "encyclopediae" where I might find a picture of what this thing is?
