Newbie w/ 70g

I did go there and talk to them but I have no idea how to work anything so they said they would come by....$50 hr to set it up and show me how to work everything. I mean, I don't even know where to put the pump and where the hoses go from the filter and how to keep the two holes on the bottom of my tank from leaking. I'm a complete newb and I really should have someone show me so I don't flood my house and/or kill the fish I end up purchasing. Maybe I could post pics of all my equipment and I can get step by step instructions here on how to hook it up LOL

thats not worth it. people here will help you more then they ever will and it wont cost you anything. it might seem hard but after awhile you will get it.

Well really my biggest problem concern is how do I keep water creeping through the bottom where the two holes are in the overflow box, one small, one larger hole? I have piping that came with it but not sure how it this is supposed to keep water from seeping through the bottom. On the pump, it is a Rio 2100 with a 2ft clear hose attached to one end. Does this entire thing get submersed or is the tube suppsed to go somewhere else?

If it were mine(which its not) I would seal the holes, buy a 3 AquaClear filters and (after cycling) stock it with several schools of rainbows.

Your tank was designed to be used as a reef system, so it gets put together bit differently than a fresh water tank does. But if your interested in getting the system to work, my suggestion would be to post in the marine section and see if someone can walk you through how to set up a reef tank for fresh water. I'm sure this has been done before and those who are far more familiar with marine tanks can probably be more helpful with getting your tank set-up correctly. I bet a few pictures would be helpful too, so they know what equipment you have/don’t have. Once you've got the tank fitted together come back to fresh and we can help with stocking ideas.
